Mahatma Gandhi

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is remembered all over the world for his nonviolent philosophy of passive resistance. He continues to inspire many movements. The Great Souled One (Mahatma) led thousands of Indians to the Arabian Sea in the famous Salt March in 1930 resulting in the arrest of almost 60,000 people. By banning together and resisting we can change the world.

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it—always.” —Mahatma Gandhi
